These terms set out the rules for using our website which has been designed by Phew.
By using our site, you confirm that you accept these terms of use and that you agree to comply with them. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our site. We recommend that you save a copy of these terms for future reference.
We amend these terms from time to time. Every time you wish to use our site, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time. We may add to or change these terms and conditions. It is your responsibility as a user to refer to these terms and conditions on accessing this website. Changes will be effective immediately after posting to this website and you will be deemed to have accepted any change if you continue to access this website after that time. We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice by amending these online.

1) Conditions of Booking
Users should ensure they follow their schools’ procedures for booking training; either booking through their delegate manager, or if booking individually ensuring that they inform their CPD lead.
Prior to booking onto a training event, delegates are responsible for ensuring that they are aware of the charging and cancellation policy.
Bookings close three working days before the start of the course. Please contact: cpd@merton.gov.uk to enquire about places after this date.
2) Certificates
Delegates will not be able to access their course certificate if they do not stay until the end of the course and complete the online evaluation process. Certificates can be accessed for download through the “Your History & Bookings” tab when logged on.
Delegates should also note that they will be unable to book onto any new courses if they have any outstanding evaluations.
3) Cancellation Policy and Charges
Charges are made to all organisations for late cancellations and non-attendance, unless adequate notice has been given, as outlined below:
- The delegate, or someone on their behalf, notifies cpd@merton.gov.uk of the cancellation at least three working days in advance of the course.
- The delegate has a sickness absence and cpd@merton.gov.uk has been notified either before or on the day of the course.
- The delegate or their Line Manager arranges for someone for whom the training is appropriate to attend in their place, having notified cpd@merton.gov.uk of the change in advance.
- Cancellation charges (should the previously stated conditions not be met):

Delegates must ensure that they check and sign the attendance register for any training attended. Failure to do so may result in a non-attendance charge being made.
Delegates arriving late for training events may be turned away at the discretion of the trainer. Those denied entry due to their late arrival will be charged the full cost of the course.
4) How and why, we may use your personal data
Personal data that we may collect, use, store, and share (when appropriate) about you may include, but is not restricted to:
- Personal information (such as name, organisation, role/ job title, contact details, and disabilities/ special requirements).
- Organisation information (such as name, address, school business manager/CPD lead contact details).
- Attendance information (such as sessions attended, number of absences and absence reasons).
We use this data based on our legitimate interests of improving the CPD programme, ensuring the safety of participants, and complying with legal obligations. In some cases, we may process data to fulfil a contractual obligation or because we are required to do so by law. We will retain your data for no longer than necessary
for the purpose it is collected for. We use this data to:
- Keep you informed about the course/ programme you have signed up for.
- Keep you informed about future courses/ programmes.
- Check eligibility for entry onto courses/ programmes.
- Be able to run courses/ events.
- Track how well we are performing.
- Conduct research (All registered users will receive an annual service improvement survey, should you wish to opt out please contact: cpd@merton.gov.uk).
- Comply with the law regarding data sharing.
