Benchmarking Writing Assessments in Year 2

Delegates are expected to attend both sessions and will be charged the Full Day rate:

The first session will explore the Year 2 programme of study for writing and provide an opportunity for participants to explore the standards for writing in this year group, they will also identify gaps in their pupils writing in order to meet the standard at the end of the year. During the second session we will agree assessment judgements in writing, similar to a consensus moderation session in previous years. 

Participants will:

• Have a secure understanding of the year 2 programme of study for writing 
• Understand the standards for writing as a benchmark for tracking attainment at the end of Year 2 
• Be confident in the accuracy of the end of year assessment judgements for writing for their pupils
