Developing Outdoor Learning in EYFS

An opportunity to explore the potential for pupils learning when outside in Early Year Foundation Stage (EYFS).

The course will cover developing an understanding of how provision and adults can best support learning opportunities outside. There will be an opportunity to see how continuous provision is planned for and delivered in both Nursery & Reception classes at the host school.

There will be a chance for delegates to discuss their own outdoor provision, sharing ideas on how to overcome barriers and plan for the potential in their own settings with colleagues.          

• To understand the possibilities & uniqueness of learning outdoors in EYFS and explore approaches to facilitating learning outside
• To have opportunities to plan and develop your own setting’s outdoor provision including exploring barriers to overcome
• To see outdoor continuous provision in action in both a Nursery & Reception classes

This session is suitable for: EYFS Leaders, Nursery & Reception Class Teachers (including ECTs) or support staff working in Early Years.
