After the successful launch of our outstanding programme last year, we have developed a suite of workshops to support those schools who are actively working to secure an outstanding judgement in one or more of the strands within the Ofsted framework.
This programme is currently only open to primary schools.
Place are limited, and we would request all schools reflect on if this is the right programme for you. If you are currently waiting for an Ofsted inspection and are developing provision to secure a strong judgement in one of the strands, then we would be delighted for you to attend.
Although each session has a slightly different focus, we would ask you to sign up to all parts of the programme. We have deliberately planned it to ensure that senior leaders have oversight of all aspect of the programme. All sessions are face to face.
Tuesday 22nd October (all day)– an opportunity to hear from John Kennedy, our senior Ofsted HMI, alongside colleagues from both Merton and neighbouring boroughs who have been on the journey to outstanding. We look forward to welcoming Lucy Mastrocola, the Headteacher at Coombe Junior School.
Please be aware that currently there is no catering at the Chaucer Centre. We apologies for this and hope to provide something light to keep you going, but you may wish to consider sorting out your own catering needs.
Thursday 30th January (afternoon) – an opportunity to consider what an outstanding curriculum could look like, and how a strong curriculum can support excellent outcomes for different pupil groups. We look forward to warmly welcoming Susan Oram, from St.Stephen’s Primary School in Bexley, who will focus on the development of an exceptional curriculum.
Thursday 27th March (afternoon) – an opportunity to explore the role of subject leaders in capturing and celebrating the very best practice.
