A Focus on Spelling 

This session will develop subject knowledge about the spelling curriculum and explore strategies to support the teaching of spelling. 

Outcomes:

• Participants will have a secure understanding of progression in the spelling curriculum
• Participants will have a range of orthographical, morphological and etymological strategies to teach the spelling curriculum
• Participants will be able to analyse pupils’ spelling errors and plan activities to address the gaps in learning
