Workshop 1 - 9.30-11am

Quality First Teaching: Supporting writing for pupils with SEND 

Target audience: – KS1-KS2 class teachers/ New to post - English leads/ SENCos  (This will be a summary of the Summer Term Workshop)

Trainer: Sigi Leigh, Learning and Teacher Adviser (Curriculum and English) & Viv Pratt, SEN Adviser, School Improvement Service

 

Workshop 2 - 11.30am-1pm

Introduction to successfully supporting children with hearing loss OR vision loss in the mainstream classroom

Target audience: Primary

Trainer: Sarah Rendell / Naomi Boddington, Merton Sensory Support Service

 

Workshop 3 - 1.30-3pm

Introduction to supporting children with SLCN. 

Session developed for primary school teachers which goes through all the fundamental information /terminology they need to know and covers some universal strategies they can use in class

Target audience: Primary school teachers

Trainer: Julie Rider,  Speech & Language Therapy Team Leader (for Primary schools), Language & Learning Support Team 

 

Tea/coffee and lunch will be provided for all delegates.
