Benchmarking Writing Assessments in Year 4

Delegates are expected to attend both sessions and will be charged the Full Day rate:

The first session will explore the Year 4 programme of study for writing and provide an opportunity for participants to explore the standards for writing in this year group. During the second session we will agree assessment judgements and create a Merton Writing Exemplification package for Year 4 writing, to be shared across Merton’s primary schools. 

Participants will:

• Have a secure understanding of the year 4 programme of study for writing 
• Understand the standards for writing as a benchmark for tracking attainment at the end of Year 4 
• Be confident in the accuracy of the end of year assessment judgements for writing for their pupils
