Getting Started with Oracy 

This session will outline the importance of oracy in educational success and pupil wellbeing. We will explore the factors contributing to successful oracy teaching and outline some key teaching strategies to support the development of oracy in the classroom 

Participants: 

• Understand the core elements of an oracy curriculum, and the importance of effective oral skills.
• Are familiar with Merton’s Oracy progression documents .
• Take away some key strategies to develop with their pupils.
