Workshop 1 - 9.30-11am

Strategies to support the development of reading fluency

Target audience: KS1 – KS3 class teachers/ English leads/ SENCos/ TAs

Trainer: Sigi Leigh, Teaching and Learning Adviser (Curriculum and English), School Improvement Team

 

Workshop 2 - 11.30am-1pm

Introduction to dyslexia, what it is, and how children can be supported in the classroom

How OAG can support children with dyslexia or dyslexic type traits in the classroom and where to locate the free (some of them!) useful resources that may be used.

Target audience: Universal

Workshop 3 - 1.30-3pm

Precision Teaching: explaining this strategy often recommended by EPs and Learning Specialists in their reports

What is it? Who is it for?   How and why it works, (and it does) what it can target, how to carry out a precision teaching session and record progress.

Target audience: Universal
