RE Subject Leaders Network Meeting - Engaging with the Non-Religious Worldview in the Primary Classroom

Nones are an ever expanding group when answering questions about following religion and this session will explore the rich diversity of the non-religious worldview.  Teachers will be given the opportunity to explore differing positions such as Humanism, SBNR and Ethical Veganism for delivery in the classroom, as well as how reason is a tool to delve deeper in this important area.

Outcomes:

• To deepen understanding about the variety of non-religious worldviews to enhance curriculum development.
• To explore teaching and learning activities which will engage children in understanding the non-religious worldview.
• To give teachers the tools to counter common misconceptions.
