This course aims to introduce teachers to different materials and processes. Hands-on practical sessions will be delivered with direct links to the Primary D&T National Curriculum demands in order to build confidence in content delivery. 


Session 1 – Introduction to printing 

 This workshop aims to introduce the teacher to basic typography and block printing. Take away project ideas will be established to allow teachers to create their own projects suitable for their educational setting. Teacher will get hands on creating samples to grasp the making task required and how to apply them to the national curriculum.
 

Session 2 – Manufacturing processes made easy

This workshop aims to introduce the teacher to injection moulding. Take away project ideas will be established to allow teachers to create their own project suitable for their educational setting. Teacher will get hands on creating samples to grasp the making task required and how to apply them to the national curriculum.
 

Session 3 - Bringing Computer-aided Design into primary school

This workshop aims to introduce the teacher to a range of design programs. Take away project ideas will be established to allow teachers to create their own project suitable for their educational setting. Teacher will get hands on creating samples to grasp the making task required and how to apply them to the national curriculum.
