Teaching Art in a Primary Setting - Session 1

This course aims to teach art skills, connecting theory and art pedagogy to teachers in the primary setting. The three sessions teach skills and theory in different mediums with different approaches, to encourage the knowledge to be applied creatively to teacher’s classroom requirements. This is a practical course where the making time is prioritised. 

Session 1 - Equip a range of strategies in different mediums to support and adapt for SEND learners

Session 2 - Understand how to collage to express emotions and ideas, and to support other learning through cross-curricula

Session 3  - Understand why painting large scale is important for building confidence, and how to use big brushes to achieve more expressive artworks.
