Setting the Standards in Year 1 Writing

This session will  explore the Year 1 programme of study for writing and provide an opportunity for participants to explore the standards for writing in this year group, furthering their understanding both of the end of year expectations as well as core skills to be developed through Year 1.

Outcomes

• Have a secure understanding of the year 1 programme of study for writing 
• Understand the expected standard for writing at the end of Year 1 and what this could look like
• Have a secure understanding of the wider skills to be developed in Year 1 that support success in writing
