Detail:
We are delighted to let you know after a highly successful programme last year that we will again be running the SWLSEP Leadership Programme, starting in November 2023. This programme has a long traditional of supporting both headteachers and senior leaders on reflecting on the ever-changing landscape of our schools across Southwest London.
This programme has been specifically designed to complement the suite of NPQ courses currently available and we believe has many advantages for senior leaders wishing to refresh their skill set and wishing to have a broader understanding of leadership in school.
Six reasons you need to attend this programme:
- It has been designed as a local programme for local schools, building on the very best practice across Merton, Sutton, Kingston, Richmond, Wandsworth and Croydon
- It provides opportunities to practice skills in a supportive environment. The programme will allow all participants to move from the theory of the educational landscape to the practical daily implementation of managing the school workforce, finance, challenging conversations and more
- The sessions will all be face to face allowing for great networking opportunities
- All participants are allocated an experienced headteacher as a mentor, to support them through the programme and to reflect on next steps in their career journey
- The programme comes with no assessment requirements
- The programme is recognised across our local boroughs. Many of our headteachers and deputies have participated in the programme, and it is consistently highly evaluated
